Contacting the Violations Bureau

Telephone: For your convenience, you may enter your plea by telephone.

If you plead guilty or no contest, a violations clerk will review your driving record and assess a fine according to a schedule set by the presiding judge in accordance with Oregon law.

You may pay the fine by credit or debit card over the telephone.

You may make arrangements for monthly payments. If you request a payment schedule, the court will add an Account Administration Fee to the fine. The amount of the fee depends on the amount of the fine.

If you plead not guilty, the case will be set for trial on another date. You will receive notice of the trial date in the mail. You must keep the court advised of your mailing address at all times. Check with the court periodically if you have not received notice of your trial date 30 days after entering your not guilty plea.

Mail: If you appear by mail, you must complete the back of your copy of the citation and send it to the court with the entire base fine amount before the date of your first appearance.
