Many of our documents are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader Software.

Court Records

Copies of non-confidential recorded court proceedings may be obtained upon written request. Deschutes County Circuit Court records proceedings on compact disc (CD) media. To listen to the CD, you will need a personal computer with a sound card and speakers. In addition, a software application called FTR Player Plus needs to be installed on the computer. The court will supply a link on the CD to FTR, in order to download the program for free. Follow the directions for downloading from the FTR website.

AUDIO COPIES

How do I make a request for an Audio Copy?

Submit required forms as outlined in the Public Records Policy. The form may be submitted by mail or returned to the information counter in the Justice Building or the file viewing room in the Courthouse.
You may request an audio copy in person. Court staff will provide you an Audio Copy Request Form. Complete the form and return it to the information counter in the Justice Building or the file viewing room in the Courthouse.

What are the fees for Audio Copies and when are they due?

$10.00 per tape or compact disc;
$0.25 per page for audio log sheets;
All fees must be paid in full before copies are made. Payment of the fees can be made by cash, check, cashier check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.

When should I receive my audio request?

Normal turn around time is three (3) business days after receipt of payment. Some requests may take longer, depending on staff demands and the volume of pending requests. Requests are processed in the order they are received. Payment in full must be received before the request is processed.
