The Oregon State Bar Lawyer Referral Service can provide information about lawyers in your area. The referral service is free and is available by phone at 1.800.452.7636. Participating lawyers provide an initial low cost consultation; additional fees are set by agreement between the attorney and client. Bilingual services in English and Spanish are available.

The Oregon State Bar also offers other low cost services and legal information. The Modest Means program refers low-income people to attorneys who will work for a reduced rate. The Problem Solvers program provides children between 11 and 17 a free consultation with a lawyer. Legal information about specific topics is posted on the Oregon State Bar’s website in English, Spanish, Russian and Vietnamese.
