If your case involves child custody or visitation, you will be required to attend a parent education class. The Klamath County Circuit Court offers such a class which teaches parents how to keep their children out of the middle of the disputes they have with each other, and helps them cope with the changes in their family. Parents will also learn how to have open communication with each other and how to encourage a "normal" relationship between the child and the other parent. This class also gives basic information about the mediation program offered to parents in dispute over the issues of custody, parenting time, and/or child support.
