Juvenile court records are confidential. Only under certain circumstances can juvenile court records be reviewed and copied.
The juvenile court case file can be accessed by the child or youth, parent, guardian, court appointed special advocate, surrogate and their attorneys. Only the child or youth's attorney of record can make copies of the case file.
The following information on delinquency cases is available to the public: the name and date of birth of the youth; the basis for the juvenile court's jurisdiction over the youth; the date, time and place of any juvenile court proceedings in which the youth is involved; the act alleged in the delinquency petition; the juvenile court's disposition of the case; the names and addresses of the youth's parents or guardians; and the register of actions of the youth's case.
