Oregon Judicial Department
For couples who are not sure whether divorce is the best option and want to meet with a counselor, referral information is available on this site.
The court recognizes that many people must file without the help of an attorney. The Family Law Department can help you locate forms and navigate the court process, but cannot give legal advice. More information is available at the “Family Law Self Help” section of this site.
Parents, friends, relatives, or others who have concerns about child abuse or neglect should contact the Department of Human Services. This agency handles the initial investigation before a child is taken into protective custody. If a divorce or request for custody has been filed in the circuit court, a parent may raise these issues with his or her attorney and the assigned judge. More information is available on the “Family Law Child Safety Issues” section of this site.
