The operations of the 12th Judicial District are housed in the historic Polk County Courthouse, built in 1899, its annex built in 1965, and the Polk County Jail Building, built in 1999 which is located across the street from the annex.
The primary records office is located on the third floor of the annex and houses the civil, domestic relations, traffic and accounting operations. The court administration, treatment court management, and jury coordination functions are also located within the primary records office. The juvenile records office is located in the historic courthouse building and the criminal records office is located in the jail building.
The 12th Judicial District has 3 circuit court judges and a staff of 24 employees that are dedicated to providing fair and accessible justice services to protect the rights of individuals, preserve community welfare, and inspire public confidence.
