Uniform Trial Court Rule (UTCR) 3.180(3) requires express permission from the court to electronically record any protion or all of a court proceeding from within the courthouse or remotely. The rule can be found
here.
Media outlets or persons who wish to record any court proceeding are requred to complete and submit the "Media Request for Electronic Recording, Writing and/or Transmission" form.
- The form must be submitted at least two (2) business hours prior to the trial or hearing. Requests for proceedings scheduled to begin before 10:00a.m. must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the previous business day.
- The form should be submitted by email to DES.media@ojd.state.or.us.
- Only check the boxes on the form that apply to the specific permission you are requesting.
