Fee Waiver/Fee Deferral

A request for waiver or deferral of a fee needs to be submitted for review by a Customer Service Clerk on the 2nd floor of the Multnomah County Courthouse on the same day you are filing your documents.  Walk in hours are 8:00am – 5:00 pm., Monday-Friday.

If the Customer Service Clerk is unable to order a waiver or deferral, your request may be reviewed by a judge who will make the decision for a fee waiver or deferral, the Customer Service Clerk will explain this process to you if necessary.
