The Uniform Trial Court Rules (UTCR) are statewide rules that apply in each of Oregon’s 36 circuit courts. The UTCR promote the just, speedy and inexpensive resolution of cases, the efficient use of court resources and a uniform, consistent practice across the state.
Uniform Trial Court Rules
The SLR are rules that govern local practice in Oregon’s circuit courts. These rules vary by judicial district, but must be consistent with the UTCRs, the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure, and state law.
Supplementary Local Court Rules
Proposed changes to the Uniform Trial Court Rules (UTCR) and Supplementary Local Rules (SLR) are reviewed annually by the UTCR Committee.
