Remote Hearings

General Information

Columbia County Circuit Court has resources available to help court parties attend hearings remotely.

If a hearing is eligible for public viewing, members of the public may attend in-person or live stream through WebEx Events (the software Oregon's state courts use for this purpose). To review what is available for live stream, please see our Court Calendar and Live Stream Proceedings page for our current schedule.

PLEASE NOTE: NO AUDIO, VIDEO, OR PHOTOGRAPHIC RECORDING IN THE COURTHOUSE OR OF COURT PROCEEDINGS IS ALLOWED WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR. THIS INCLUDES REMOTE HEARINGS.

Information for Case Participants

Please refer to your hearing notice, which details when and how to appear for your hearing. If your court matter has been set for a remote hearing, via telephone or video conference, you will be notified by email of the remote hearing at least one (1) business day before your matter is set before the court.

Cisco WebEx - Telephonic/Video Conferencing

Some hearing types must be conducted in-person. Please refer to your hearing notice, which details when and how to appear for your hearing.

Parties requesting to appear remotely mustfile a Motion and Order, listed in the. Miscellaneous Forms section on the Local Forms page. The form must be eFiled through File & Serve or delivered in-person at the Front Counter at the courthouse. These documents must be received prior to the hearing.

Please review the Guidelines for Appearing by Phone or Video, for general information about remote hearings. For first-time Webex users, we recommend using the Webex Test Meeting prior to your remote hearing to ensure that you meet the hardware, software, and internet connection minimum requirements.
