Protective Orders

Once you determine the correct order for your situation, you will need to appear in front of a judge.

Hearings for all types of protective orders are held at 11:30 am every day that the Court is open.

Protective Order paperwork is accepted at any time during business hours. If you would like to be seen the same day, your paperwork must be completed and filed with the Court no later than 10:30 am Monday – Thursday.

Protective Order forms may be obtained using the links above, in person at the Columbia Circuit Court, or may be submitted electronically via Guide & File. 

Information for Respondents

A protective order against you may immediately prohibit you from possessing firearms/ammunition and require you to surrender them. The terms and applicable forms are listed below.
