Interpreting services for people with limited English-proficiency is provided in more than 180 languages and for the hearing-impaired.
The court must be notified as soon as possible, but at least 2 business days prior to appearance of who will need the interpreter, when, where, and what language is needed. If an individual needs an interpreter for a language other than Spanish, please provide at least a 30 day notice. Sign Interpreters are available for the hearing impaired.
Per ORS 45.275 no fee shall be charged to any Limited English Proficient person for the appointment of an interpreter. Court interpreting in circuit court shall be paid by the State.
