Accessible Entrance
The Marion County Circuit Court downtown location has a wheelchair-accessible ramp leading to the main entrance of the building and two elevators within that provide access to all floors. Our criminal court annex and juvenile court are single-story buildings.
Accessible Parking spaces
There are accessible parking spaces at the corner of each block at the courthouse at downtown courthouse available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Annex and Juvenile Court locations also have a few accessible parking spaces near the building entrances available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Accessible passenger loading zones
Passenger loading and unloading at the downtown courthouse is recommended on the North side of the courthouse on Court Street, just after the intersection of Church Street. There is a commercial loading zone on this side of the building that may be used for quick pick up and drop offs. At the Annex, there is a circular parking area nearest the court entrance for passenger loading and unloading. At the juvenile court there is a semi-circular driveway nearest the court entrance for passenger loading and unloading.
Accessible sidewalks
There are paved sidewalks and walkways surrounding all three court locations.
Accessible public transportation
The main transfer station for the Cherriots bus is located one block down from the main downtown courthouse with bus service running out to both remote locations.
