Juvenile Treatment Courts

Marion County Circuit Court has two juvenile treatment courts that are managed by one court coordinator, Janalee Weitman. If you have any questions about the programs, please contact her at 971-718-7651. Information about both courts can be found below.

​General Information

Marion County Circuit Court’s Family Drug Court, Fostering Attachment Treatment Court (FATC), is a strength-based program available for families who are involved in the child welfare system.

Qualifications include: 
  • Parents who have one child between the ages of 0-17.
  • Jurisdiction has been established.
  • The parent(s) have a substance use issue needing treatment.
  • The parent(s) do not have a conviction of a sexual offense or violent crime.

FATC takes a holistic approach to provide intensive outpatient and residential drug and alcohol treatment, mental health, case management, educational assistance, housing assistance, and family support in a court-managed setting. Program capacity is 30 parents and is held on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 3:30pm.

General Information

Marion County's Juvenile Drug Court, STAR Court (Supervised Treatment and Recovery) is a strength-based program available for those who meet the following criteria:
  • Between 14 -17 years old.
  • No convictions for sexual offenses.
  • Have a substance use issue needing treatment.
  • Score medium-high or high on the JCP Risk Assessment.

STAR Court takes a holistic approach to provide intensive outpatient treatment, mental health, case management, educational assistance, and family support in a court managed setting.  Youth can have their record expunged, if they graduate from the program.  Program capacity is 23 participants and is held on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Wednesday ofeach month at 3:30pm.
