Updates to Criminal Case Scheduling

Beginning January 1, 2025, Jackson County Circuit Court will be transitioning to having all criminal cases assigned to a judge. This change will eliminate the largest court sessions, reducing the wait time for parties appearing in court. It should also support quicker, simpler resolution of cases. The mission of the court is to provide fair, timely, accessible service. This change not only improves that, but should also improve court efficiency. For more information, please read the Calendar and Docket Change Information.

Welcome to the Jackson County Circuit Court.  Jackson County, the 6th most populous county in Oregon, is home to more than 200,000 residents. Most residents live in one of the 11 incorporated cities found in the temperate valleys bordering the Rogue River or one of its major tributaries, Bear Creek. Outside city limits, residents enjoy limitless recreational opportunities in the forests, mountains, rivers and lakes interwoven across the landscape. Hundreds of thousands of visitors come every year to enjoy both the landscape and the many cultural opportunities found within Jackson County. Since its founding in 1852, Jackson County has remained a major producer of natural resources and agriculture, including more than 2,000 acres of wine grapes for over 100 different wineries. As the county has grown, it has also become a regional center for healthcare, manufacturing, tourism, and the arts.
